Charlotte Barrow

Charlotte was a Research Fellow in City Strategies and Leadership, for the Urban Connections project at UCL STEaPP.


Prior to her time at STEaPP, she worked as Campaign Assistant for a Canadian environmental NGO, before moving to Sweden for an MSc in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability at the Blekinge Institute of Technology. She has consulted on sustainable behaviour change for a Swedish design company, and performed research on urban governance and sustainable and affordable housing in developing countries.


As Research Assistant in Sustainable Cities for UCL's Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, she assisted in running the UCLoo Festival on ecological urban sanitation, edited a departmental publication and planned a number of events related to urban sustainability. She is currently completing an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College, and is interested in the ways fiction and drama can stimulate sustainable development.
