Elizabeth Rapoport

Visiting Lecturer

Elizabeth is Content Director at the Urban Land Institute, and a visiting lecturer in the City Leadership Laboratory at UCL STEaPP.

Elizabeth was a Research Associate for the project Urban Connections at UCL STEaPP and an EngD candidate in Urban Sustainability and Resilience at UCL.


Elizabeth is an urban planner with over a decade of experience working on urban issues in a number of countries around the world. Prior to joining Urban Connections, she completed an Engineering Doctorate in Urban Sustainability and Resilience at University College London.

Elizabeth’s professional experience includes working as a strategic and urban planning consultant on projects in a diverse range of countries including Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Rwanda, for clients including city governments, The World Bank and UN-Habitat.  She has also worked on housing policy and strategy for the governments of both New York City and London, and a London-based housing association. Elizabeth holds a BA in American Government and Politics from Wesleyan University in the United States and a MSc in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from the London School of Economics.
