Louisa Barker

Louisa is currently working at the World Bank in collaboration between the City Leadership Laboratory and the Bank's Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), and previously worked as Research Consultant at the Future Cities Catapult. She is conducting research to support the creation of a Transport Innovation Index, looking to advance transport innovation through city leadership and encourage inter-city learning.


Louisa also works as a researcher for the social enterprise Lensational. Prior to joining UCL STEaPP, she worked as a Policy and Research Intern at VSO, where she was involved in shaping and researching a new market access campaign.


Louisa holds a BA in Geography from Durham University (2013) and an MSc in Urban Studies from UCL (MSc 2015).  Her thesis explored the campaigning voice of housing and homelessness charities based in London.
